Payment System Bankera (Lithuania)

Bankera is a payment system founded by Antanas Guoga and other SpectroCoin project participants in 2017. It provides banking services with cryptocurrency support and is designed for businesses and individuals focused on working with digital assets and blockchain technologies.

Bankera offers IBAN accounts, debit cards, and currency exchange services. Budget control tools, electronic wallets, and blockchain technology integration are also available.

OPENING AN ACCOUNT IN BANKERA

Account types

Corporate and personal accounts (multi-currency).

Accounts are available in more than 20 currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR.

 

The payment system preferably operates in EUR via SEPA. The possibility of issuing other requisites and conducting SWIFT transfers depends on the company's activities.

 

They also open accounts for charter capital deposits, segregated accounts, and merchant accounts.

 

Bankera offers a crypto-friendly solution and can open an exchange account specifically designed for blockchain businesses such as exchanges, brokerage services, mining farms, and similar activities.

 

High-risk activitiy companies are accepted on an individual basis.

Cost of opening an account (payment system tariff)

Account application submission:

- personal - free;

- corporate from EU and Britain - free;

- corporate outside EU and Britain or for high risk - 450 EUR;

- for cryptocurrencies and gambling - 900 EUR.

 

Express application review - 1500 EUR.

Via Internet banking.

Service Fees

Account maintenance:

- personal - free;

- corporate from EU and Britain - 5 EUR/month;

- corporate outside EU and Britain or for high risk - 50 EUR/month;

- for cryptocurrencies and gambling - 200 EUR/month.

 

Payments:

- internal - free;

- SEPA outgoing - 0.04%;

- SEPA incoming - free;

- SWIFT incoming/outgoing - 0.25%/0.5%.

 

These rates are basic; the final rate is set individually depending on the company's activities.

Terms of opening an account

The account opening process consists of two stages: preparatory and actual account opening.

 

The preparatory stage includes collecting and submitting documents required for account opening. The duration of the preparatory stage depends directly on you.

 

The account is opened within 10 business days from the submission of all necessary documents and information to the payment system. The review period may be extended at the discretion of the payment system.

 

Bankera follows the "know your customer" principle and reserves the right to request additional information or documents in each individual case, which may lead to increased account opening times, and may also refuse to open an account without explanation.

Documents for opening an account

Company Documents - all original statutory documents must be provided. Moreover, a business license must be provided (if applicable); without a license, the account will not be opened.

 

Documents for the Account Manager:

  • original internal passport;
  • original international passport;
  • original identification code;
  • CV;
  • original bank reference;
  • original utility bill (gas, electricity) not older than 3 months (for proof of residence).

 

Documents for the Company Beneficiary:

  • original internal passport;
  • original international passport;
  • original identification code;
  • CV;
  • original bank reference;
  • original utility bill (gas, electricity) not older than 3 months (for proof of residence).

 

The payment system also requests documents confirming the beneficiary's source of income (wealth). These may include:

  • employment certificate indicating salary and personal account statements showing salary payments;
  • tax declarations;
  • documents confirming inheritance;
  • documents confirming monetary gifts and their presence in accounts;
  • documents confirming sale of movable/immovable property;
  • if the beneficiary is a company founder - company documents, company account statements, tax declarations, documents confirming dividend payments;
  • if the beneficiary is a private entrepreneur - registry extract, tax declarations for the entrepreneur, bank account statements;
  • bank certificate of deposit existence and documents confirming the source of these funds;
  • other documents showing income sources.

 

Documents for nominal director, shareholder, and secretary (when using nominal service):

  • apostilled document bundle including copies of: passport, utility bill not older than 3 months, and bank reference (if nominal director, shareholder, and secretary is an individual);
  • apostilled bundle of statutory documents including: Certificate of Incorporation, articles and memorandum of association, director appointment protocol (if director is a legal entity). Certificate of Good Standing with apostille, Certificate of Incumbency with apostille, and director documents may also be required: apostilled document bundle including passport copy, utility bill not older than 3 months, and bank reference.
Account opening procedure
