Hermes Bank (Saint Lucia)

Hermes Bank has been established in St. Lucia in 2012 and conducts banking activity in accordance with the international banking principles and standards. 

The main goal of the bank is to provide quality service in the shortest possible period and with the minimal clients’ expenses. With the purpose to achieve the desired effect, bank provides services via high-technology internet banking system.

The cost of opening of the account (bank tariff)

The cost of opening an account:

- for individuals - 100 EUR;

- for legal entities - 700-1500 EUR depending on complexity.

 

Minimum first deposit and required balance:

- for natural persons – 1000 EUR;

- for legal entities – 5000 EUR.

Digipass – 40 EUR.

Accounts maintenance for natural persons and legal entities  40 EUR per month.

Account closing for natural persons and legal entities  100 EUR.

Incoming payments (EUR):

- up to 1000 EUR – 10 EUR;

- from 1000 EUR to 10 000 EUR – 20 EUR;

- from 10 000 EUR to 50 000 EUR – 35 EUR; 

- over 50 000 EUR – 50 EUR;

- more than 100 000 EUR – 0,1%, max 250 EUR.

 

Outgoing payments – 0,15% (min 30 EUR, max 750 EUR).

 

Internal transfer within the bank (EUR):

- up to 1000 EUR - 10 EUR;

- up to 50 000 EUR - 20 EUR;

- over 50 000 EUR - 30 EUR.

Terms of opening the account 

The procedure of opening the account consists the preliminary stage and opening of the account.

The preliminary stage includes the process of gathering and submitting documents, which are required for opening an account, filling in an application and its sending to the bank for preliminary decision. Then, upon positive decision from bank, we launch preparation, signing the forms and its porterage to the head office of the bank. Terms of the preliminary stage depends precisely on you.

The procedure of consideration the documents by bank and opening an account takes about 2-3 weeks starting from the date when the documents are submitted to the bank for review.

Hermes Bank follows the «know your client» principle and therefore you may be requested to provide any additional information or documents concerning the procedure of opening the account that may take additional time. Bank also may refuse to open the account without any explanations.

Documents for opening an account

Forms for signing are provided in our office during the personal visit only after preliminary approval of opening an account from the bank.

 

Company’s documents – you should give us the originals of all company’s statutory documents, Certificate of Good Standing affixed with apostille and Certificate of Incumbency affixed with apostille (if the company is more than 1 year old). It is also necessary to provide a detailed business plan for the company.

 

Documents for the account holder:

- original of national passport;

- original of foreign passport (if applicable);

- original of utility bill from the place of residence no older than 3 months;

- bank reference or recommendation from partners in English no older than 3 months;

- CV in English.

 

Documents for the beneficiary of the company:

- original of national passport;

- original of foreign passport (if applicable);

- original of utility bill from the place of residence no older than 3 months;

- bank reference or recommendation from partners in English no older than 3 months;

- CV in English.

 

Documents for nominee director and shareholder (in case of using nominee service by company):

If the nominee services are presented by individuals:

- color scan copy of passport;

- color scan copy of utility bill no older than 3 months;

- color scan copy of bank recommendation that is not older than 3 months.

 

If the nominee services are presented by legal entities:

- set of company’s statutory documents affixed with apostille which including Certificate of incorporation, Memorandum and Article of Association, Minutes of the director designation, Certificate of Good Standing and Certificate of Incumbency (if the company is more than 1 year old);

- color scan copy of passport, utility bill no older than 3 months, bank recommendation for the director and shareholder of the legal entity no older than 3 months.

The procedure of opening an account

You need to fill in survey questionnaire concerning the company activity, which is emailed on your address. After filling it in, we will send the request to the bank for preliminary decision. If bank gives his preliminary approval, we preparing required bank’s forms for signing you and sending with original documents on the company and attorney and beneficiary to the main office of the bank. After opening an account all original documents are being returned by bank.
